The BoB800B break-out box augments the standard BoB800 to provide 8 balanced analogue audio inputs and outputs on XLR connectors for the PCM8, PCM-H8 and PCM-H16 (where two BoB800Bs are required for 16 channels of analogue I/O).

The regular BoB800 fits 8 unbalanced analogue I/O plus AES into a 1U rack space. The BoB800B is connected in line with the BoB800. This provides XLRs for balanced analogue connections in a second 1U rack space instead of the BoB800's unbalanced jacks.
