Diversified Technologies S.r.l. (www.divtechmusic.com) started in 1989 focusing its activity on advertisement and audiovisual production. Little by little its core business became classical music recording and editing, and mastering of high end audio and video productions. Taking advantage of the extensive experience of the founder Carlo Assalini, who has been in the audio business as a sound engineer since 1969, recently it was decided to move from a Sonic Studio HD platform to a SADiE PCM-H64 with 48 inputs.
'The power, flexibility and sound accuracy of the PCM-H64, were recognized as the key to managing very large projects safely and securely, without being distracted by problems unrelated to the music itself", said Carlo Assalini, still the driving force of the company.
'The artists we have to satisfy are very high profile, including George Pretre, Myun-Whun-Chung, Valery Gergiev, Lorin Maazel, Gustavo Dudamel, Robin Ticciati, Riccardo Muti, Yuri Temirkanov, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bobby McFerrin as conductors; Martha Argerich, Uto Ughi, Grigory Sokolov, Mstislav Rostropovich, Maurizio Pollini, Katia e Marielle Labeque as soloists, and orchestras like Filarmonica della Scala, Accademia di S. Cecilia, Orchestra Filarmonica di San Pietroburgo, Orchestra del Festival di Brescia e Bergamo, Orchestra del XVIII Secolo, Orchestra del Teatro Mariinskij di San Pietroburgo and many other artists."
'We are honestly very proud because we have never heard anything from the performers other than a full and positive appreciation of the job we do for them. Because of this we had to improve our technical capabilities with the new SADiE PCM-H64; this allows us to meet the expectations of our customers who continue to demand more and more quality in less time, due to reducing costs."
Mr. Assalini continues, 'I have to point out that I have been very impressed not only by the technical characteristics of the equipment (which anybody can verify by reading the online manual), but even more so by the approach that both SADiE and the Italian distributor Te.De.S. took with me and my needs. For me, it has been like making a jump back to an earlier time where the words 'Broadcast" and 'Professional" made sense. The care which was taken in satisfying my needs, and the chronometrical precision in delivering the equipment within the agreed time, both make me say that the SADiE PCM-H64 is worth any Euro it costs."
'The last thing I have to say is that as soon I turned on the PCM-H64 and I checked the sound quality it produces, comparing it with the very best of our other recordings, I have been able, after so many years, to 'feel" the music again with the same enthusiasm that I did when I was young and at the start of my career; this is because of the pure sound, the ability to reproduce transients so well and also in the very low frequency range."
'If you ever have the occasion to pass through the country near Milano (I actually dislike the big town where I lived and worked for 35 years) come and see me and drink a coffee while talking, listening, and discussing audio techniques. It's a gorgeous way to enjoy living with, and for, the music."
