Hardware controllers: Overview
SADiE Hardware Controllers provide advanced tactile control of recording, mixing and editing functions on most SADiE systems.
The Master Control panel includes a jog/shuttle scrub wheel, touch-sensitive motorised master fader, transport controls, source and EDL timecode displays, editing and locator keys, and 12 user-definable function keys.
The Fader Control panel includes 8 touch-sensitive motorised faders, solo/mute buttons, 6 digital rotary encoders for modifying EQ, dynamics and aux send levels. Any number of on-screen faders and controls may be accessed by the hardware faders by stepping through them in banks of 8. Both panels communicate with SADiE via a single RS422 9-pin channel for immediate response.
Between them, the panels enable hands-on control of almost all editing and mixing functions for any SADiE system, whether used for mastering, radio production, syncing or dubbing.
